Background

I come from the world of newspaper photojournalism. I’m a 2011 Pulitzer Prize finalist and the 2010 NPPA Photojournalist of the Year (Smaller Markets). Recently, I left my staff job at the Naples Daily News in Naples, Fla. and relocated to Washington D.C. to pursue a freelance career. I know that my experience at a newspaper has taught me how to document the most important of events without getting in the way and being able to relate to people immediately. I bring these skills to my wedding photography as well.

Philosophy

My approach to weddings is centered on making the bride and groom comfortable while documenting their most important day. The last thing a wedding couple needs to worry about is the photographer taking the pictures. And the more comfortable someone is, the more candid moments happen, leading to photos that will be treasured for a lifetime.
